SHIFTING SANDS is an architectural monograph of Barchan + Architecture (formerly Buensalido + Architects), documenting their works for the past 18 years of practice.
The collection of projects in the book showcase how Barchan’s work always seek to transform its users in a positive and inspiring way, as well as explore new and contemporary ways of expressing and manifesting the specificities and realities of our identity as Filipinos. In this book, we see how, with each project and idea, they continue to change the way people see and experience Philippine Architecture.
The new book also hopes to expand local architectural perspectives towards a global scale, embodying values resonant with humanity regardless of cultural or geographical boundaries.
